    Dear Bluejay family,

Last Friday, we officially launched our Building on Tradition, Trusting in His Will Capital Campaign—a moment rooted in years of prayerful planning and faithful stewardship. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have already raised more than half of our campaign goal of $12.6 million.

As we celebrate the completion of Phase 1, we look ahead with great excitement to Phase 2 of our Master Site Plan. This phase will further our mission and support our growing school through a new gymnasium, expanded parking, a safer car line, relocated administrative offices, and additional classroom space for our young Bluejays. Each element has been thoughtfully designed to meet today’s needs while positioning St. Cecilia for continued growth and excellence. Phase 3 of the plan will bring 9 new junior high classrooms, including 2 science labs that will expand opportunities for hands-on learning and better prepare our students for the academic rigor of high school and beyond. We also remain committed to growing our endowment to ensure a strong and faithful future for our school.

At this pivotal moment, we have a unique opportunity—and a clear challenge before us. Every dollar given right now is doubled through the Stuller Family Foundation match. That means every gift you make has twice the impact on our students, our campus, and our future. We must meet this match to fully realize the momentum of this campaign and to steward this incredible gift well.

We ask you to prayerfully consider a three-year commitment and to act now. Help us unlock the full $500,000 by making a gift today. Every gift, at every level, directly supports our students, families, and the life of our school. Please take a moment to visit https://www.scsbluejays.org/giving/capital-campaign.cfm and prayerfully discern how you can be part of this transformative effort. If you have any questions you would like to discuss in person, please contact Mrs. Angela Schoeffler (aschoeffler@scsbluejays.org) to schedule an appointment.

Now is the time! Together, let us rise to meet this moment—maximizing the match, strengthening our mission, and building a future worthy of our students—always trusting in His will.

    God Bless,

Honoring The Children of St. Cecilia School

    Almighty Father,
as grateful stewards of the blessings You have bestowed on us from past leaders and supporters of our beloved St. Cecilia School family, we ask for wisdom and guidance in carrying on this legacy of serving Your children in Your love.

Guided by the Holy Spirit, may we be humbly attentive to Your will as we strive to build new spaces of learning for Your children to grow, providing a foundation for the vocations in life to which You call them. May generous hearts and minds be opened and inspired by Your grace as we undertake this endeavor of building on tradition and trusting in Your will.

We pray this in the name of Your Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, as we invoke the intercession of our patroness, Saint Cecilia.

    Amen

On April 9, 2025, our school community gathered on the front lawn to mark this exciting milestone in our 116-year legacy of faith, learning, and service.

With heartfelt remarks from Principal Erin Henry, a blessing from Bishop Deshotel, and prayers led by Fr. Michael Delcambre, the ceremony celebrated not just the start of construction — but the beginning of even greater things ahead.

Shovels were turned by student representatives, school and parish leadership, diocesan officials, and members of our Capital Campaign and Building Committees — a powerful symbol of the unity and dedication that made this project possible.

Special thanks to Angelle Architects, LLC and ARL Construction, Inc. for helping us bring this vision to life.

Reminder of Car Line Procedures

August 25, 2024
By SCS Bluejays

The safety of our students is our top priority. Please adhere to the following procedures when picking up your child in the afternoon.

  • All parents/guardians utilizing the car line in the afternoon must have a VISIBLE sign. The sign should be taken down only after the child has entered the vehicle. The best way to display the sign is by attaching it to the passenger side visor or hanging it by a coat hanger on the rear-view mirror. Vertically challenged teachers can not see the sign if it is placed on the dash. Please keep this in mind.
  • Duty teachers will direct traffic. All cars will move forward simultaneously. Please pull up as far as possible. Once traffic has come to a complete stop and the STOP sign is up, vehicles should be in PARK to avoid any movement. Teachers will load the students at this time. Once they are done, the sign will turn to SLOW and cars will move forward, repeating the same process.
  • St. Cecilia is a HANDS FREE ZONE. Refrain from using your cell phone while in the car line.
  • Keep your eyes facing forward. We need your undivided attention. It takes a split second for a child to get away from a duty teacher, and your attention can help prevent an accident.
  • Beginning Monday, September 30, vehicles may only exit the car line by turning right. View details here.

Thanks in advance! Your cooperation helps to expedite the car line and keep our children safe.
